Good luck everyone!
« on: September 08, 2017, 06:50:57 AM »
I have not posted in a while, just wanted to wish everyone good luck and be safe in Florida.
We are resigned to the fact that this may be our end at Bender's Grove, We don't know what the next few days will bring,
we expect the worst while we hope for the best. small businesses like mine are usually the hardest hit, we cannot afford
insurance for our little nursery/grove, so have no clue if we can recover. Please be safe, good luck all! Mike Bender

Good luck to you Mike, I feel for all the small businesses and people that may be affected. Hopefully the hurricane will spare the area but be prepared to evacuate.

Good Luck, Mike.

We were hoping to make another mango tour next July, but I'd be happy just knowing all the growers are safe and sound.

Good Luck to you, Mike. I hope Bender's Grove makes it. I stopped by your place and bought some Keitt mangoes from you almost exactly a year ago. Be safe.

Thankfully the storm is leaning towards the West so the EYE will miss. Sorry West coasters. Out of Biz? I think we would have to buy more trees if these get wrecked.
Stay safe everybody.

Hi Mike, somehow i think a miracle will happen and you and your orchard will be spared. You sell too many good fruits and plants, which gives enjoyment to so many people. Powers that be protect you and everyone else in Florida!!! Everyone is wishing you well. Stay safe.

Good luck everyone!  I have a friend who has newly planted 10 acres of tropical fruits on Pine Island. He must be pooping in his pants right now. He possibly gonna pack up and leave that island to California for good.

Thanks everyone, looking more like the west coast will get the brunt, so many friends and customers there.
We I am sure will get significant damage to the grove but certainly if the forecast holds true it may not totally devote us. I have never prayed as much as I have this week. Thanks for all the kind thoughts, we are ready as can possibly be lets hope I can stay in biz! Love you all!

I will have some loss, hopefully minor. I am on the east coast of Florida and wont get the brunt of it.
Praying for Carlos and the folks to the south (Miami/Homestead area) and West (Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Tampa ... ) who will be seeing some nasty weather.
Hope we all come through this safely and for the guys for whom this is a living hope you can smile about this in a month or so.
