Those may have come from Jay Ruskeys farm. Jay is a great guy and sells his Cherimoya at the Santa Monica Farmers market if I remember correctly. Ive never met him in person but I emailed him several times and ordered fruit from him multiple times. He had Cherimoyas and his own Annona hybrid which is a Cherimoya x Atemoya cross. His fruit are excellent quality!

Did you go to California just to find cherimoyas?

There was only one seller of Cherimoya and Attemoya at last Wednesday’s market, Rincon Del Mar. the bumpy unnamed Attemoya was for me the best so far.

Are you positive it's an atemoya?  Isn't there a cherimoya called "El Bumpo," which looks exactly like that?
