Artocarpus hirsutus is indigenous to Western Ghats of India. Artocarpus rigidus is found  in Indonesia, Malaysia and nearby countries.
Artocarpus hirsutus is larger than Artocarpus rigidus, and have higher flesh ratio.
Both fruits are usually sweet-sour. Few Artocarpus hirsutus varieties are sweet and very delicious.
