I know Jamaican cherry and moringa both produce under 2 years. Are there any others with similar, quick production?

You can get white sapote fruit in 2.5 years if you grow a really vigorous (large seed) seedling and a year in graft it to Vernon, which I've seen set fruit a year after grafting.

Jackfruit is quick too. Mine are flowering at 3 years and that’s with cutting back every year.

Edit: maybe not in your climate. Mulberry for sure.

Sugar-Apples can fruit in 2-and-a-half years, but usually in 3 1/2.

Dwarf Ambarella also.

Spondias dulcis will go from seed to producing fruit within a year.

Ulfr, thanks. I’m testing my zone luck and have a couple seedlings in ground.

Chupa, I realized that my houseplant was a Malabar chestnut so I put it in ground just last week. Thanks! I’ll check your other suggestions.

Thank you. Unfortunately 4 years from seed is a bit long, and I’ve heard that black sapote isn’t too great of a fruit.

I’m very excited about June plum. A local Asian grocer has them in stock so I’ll try germinating some asap. Fruit under a year is remarkable!

ONLY Dwarf June-Plum fruit right away, and in a 3-gallon pot. Regular June-Plums get huge fast, and fruit after 4-6 years.

I'm glad you posted this. I was concerned because my "regular" June Plum is four ears old, five or six meters high and no fruit. I had read they fruit at one or two years old and thought something was wrong with mine. LOL

If your thinking Black Sapote isn't great I wouldn't be getting too excited abut June Plum.

For me. June plum taste like green/unripe mango. I really like it.

Spondias purpurea, is also a fast producer but you need to propagate it from a cutting.

Abiu (Pouteria caimito).
I grow 3 different abiu seedlings, and one of them fruited in 3 years. The other two fruited in 4 years from seed.
The one that fruited in 3 years is a seedling from an Australian variety called Z4.
Now I grow variety #1; variety # 2; and variety # 4.
All of them are very large and sweet fruits. Number 1 is the most productive, and number 4 has a thicker skin and a longer shelf life.
Abiu is a fantastic fruit that adapted quite well to Southwest Florida. I would recommend to grow at least 2 trees side by side for cross pollination.

Eugenia pitanga (dwarf pitanga) is supposed to be a great container fruit that is supposed to fruit within the first year or so.

Lots of Eugenia's fruit in under 4 years from seed.
