Fertilizing Mangoes w/ Bone Meal & Sunflower Ash
« on: September 26, 2019, 11:42:05 AM »
Hello friends.  So, my Keitt, which has been a strong producer for over 10 years, gave me no fruit (zero) this year.  Before anyone asks, I know why: I haven't been fertilizing.  Wanting to stay away from the refined stuff, I bought some 0-5-34 Sunflower Ash and some 2-14-0 (+15 cal) Bone Meal.  I have a few questions for anyone with experience using these, or anyone who might otherwise be in the know: 1) how often and how much should I apply; 2) are flies sure to be a problem, and, if so, will covering with mulch prevent infestation; and 3) is there anything else that I ought to know?  Thanks,
Easy
