Europe: Grafted Che Seedless (Maclura tricuspidata)
« on: January 12, 2021, 01:08:30 AM »
For sale: 1x Che (Maclura tricuspidata) grafted plant. Cultivar: Seedless. Roostock: Che seedling. Current height: 40cm

Cost is 22 or $26 plus postage to be calculated based on destination.

An exciting new introduction of recent years, I would really recommend this species because it has no known diseases or pests in Europe. It is hardy to -25C. The taste is similar to watermelon and cotton-candy. This cultivar is self-fertile and seedless. It is precocious (at only 3 years old they will start to fruit) while at 8 years old they can give up to 180kg fruit in a season. Choose a sunny location and plan space of 3 x 4 metres.
