I like the taste and the look of this Annona.

Its extremely rugged, and has small stature.

Fruits taste like a banana and coco plum, at least of this variety.  I hear there are other variations.

Any grow this? or taste this?

Got little plants now thanks to Anikulapo (alias Adam) and Ed, thank you both!  Will let you know how they taste i guess in 2-3 years? Or am i being too optimistic?

Nice picture!

I have two five-foot plants that have not fruited yet.  They are from seeds sent to me by Crafton Clift.  At the time they were labeled as Polyaulax cylindrocarpa.

How old are those plants? Just trying to get an idea of how long they take to fruit from seed?

Is it a time clock, or set off by season, or maybe both? Anyway thanks for the heads up, will have to check my seeds also.

One of my Fingersops is now loaded with green fruits--- I never even saw the flowers!

I don't remember what year Crafton sent me seeds--- when he was working at Nong Nooch Botanical Garden, Thailand.  Probably six or seven years ago--- I'll try to ask him.

Fingersops? Har is that the new unofficial name? I've heard them also called sausage fruit and snausage fruit.

I've got about 5 of these that came up...here is the largest one I've got.

I just like them because they're annonas!  and they're edible!

They also seemed to be compact and dwarf looking trees.  The fruits were ok...not amazing..but fun to eat...and very different.  They weren't offensive tasting...they were rather mild, like a cocoplum/banana mix...not too sweet.

Here are some photos from when I collected the seeds a year or so ago.

Is that from same batch you sent me? How long did they take to germinate?

got seeds from a friend...unfortunately I won't have seeds again anytime soon.  if I do I will let the group know.

I might post a few seedlings for sale/trade, haven't decided yet if I wanna keep more than 2 of these

these little fruits are growing on me!

the more i eat them, i notice they taste like a sugar apple.

I've got some fruit on my 3 gal tree (sent to me by a forum member...who I still owe a dollar  :-[ ).

I think it's a great fruit for container growers, zone pushers, and annona lovers....but not a good choice for someone who wants a top notch fruit.
