Hello everyone.
Who has jolly tiger fig cuttings in stock?

I bought some on ebay in the spring.
Unfortunately, the plants I got show no sign of leaf variegation.

So I would like to know if anyone has any to trade or sell (depending on the price).
Either against fig tree scions, but my diversity is not yet enormous ( brown turkey, long August and madeleine of the 2 seasons ).
Or against a much larger selection if you want apple, pear etc

Hello to all.
After several searches, my problem is that I regularly come across offers to sell seeds for these species ( ebay, etsy etc ).

However I would like to find mature scions to graft and not use them as rootstock.
However it is quite complicated because many in France use them mainly as rootstock.
But I think that the best selections from these rootstocks are also interesting to grow for future crosses.
As some of you are already doing.

If some people can provide scions this spring, I have no problem paying or exchanging.

Cold Hardy Citrus / Carolina lime questions

Hi all, I am looking for info on the carolina lime variety ?
This variety would be resistant according to Stan McKenzie (on a publication I read) at -8°F.
Have any of you grown this variety near a dragon lime to be able to tell what the differences are ?

Some people have told me about the avocado dusa and albaida, which would be used as rootstock for heavy soils.

Do any of the members have experience of this, what do these rootstocks do in clay soil for example?
How long in clay soil can they withstand wet soil?
Do you know if any nurseries sell this kind of rootstock?

I'm opening this discussion to see if those with experience can answer me about some of the questions I have.

Among those who have cold hardy avocado what are the varieties of which you yourself have managed to observe a great resistance to cold?
And at what temperature ?

I read that aravaipa can resist to -12°C. Did any of you observe it ?
Same for the other Del Rio, Poncho, Joey.
Can a member assert by his observations their resistance to the cold mentioned by the various sources ?

In which condition, tree on its own root or grafted and if yes on which rootstock ( duke7, toro canyon ....) ?

Did any of you graft cold hardy avocados and less cold resistant avocados on the same rootstock. And did you manage to observe if the grafts of cold hardy avocados have transmitted by hormones and the rising and falling sap a greater tolerance to cold on the less resistant varieties ?

Grafted by approach 2 trees a cold hardy avocado and a no hardy can it make the whole more resistant to cold ?

I ask these questions in order to know if there is a method to increase the resistance of avocados not resistant to the cold in the same way as what is observed with citrus fruits.
