4/5 of my plants are either alive, pushing or leafed out. DK male and Black Carbon female leafed out quickly. WuSu female buds dried out, but still green under the bark. And just last week, DK female started pushing green buds. Interesting that with that same soil and location, DK male leafed out 4 months before DK female. Crystal is the only one that didn't make it, but I'll keep it around in case the rootstock takes over. I had them in a greenhouse against a west facing wall that gets unprotected late sun. I don't think they cared for that very much. I've up potted and moved them under full time shade cloth. Thanks again Bill/Amy/Joe! Hoping we can do another order this year

I bought some seeds from Tang Tonic in late 2020 or early 2021. They took their sweet time germinating and did not grow very quickly after they finally germinated. Knowing how slow and irregular their germination rate is, I did not toss the un-germinated seeds. They have been kept moist and warm; so, who knows; maybe the rest of them will show some signs of life at some point?

I planted about 50 seeds from fresh fruit in late October. They were babied with rain and spring water while sitting on a temp controlled heat mat. Seven months later...about 10 have sprouted including a couple last week. So yeah, very sporadic. Don't give up on them. I did recently crank up the heat mat a few degrees at night. Maybe that helped the recent sprouts

Hello. I have some Sartre Guava plants available. Over a year old. Stocky and healthy with roots bursting.

I really enjoy these fruits. They remind me a bit of sweet pink grapefruit, with a unique myrtle "spice". Sold by street vendors in Mexico, either plain or with chili powder and salt or sugar.  You can find a few video reviews of the fruit on youtube.

In the myrtle family, they are also quite ornamental, with a copper colored bark that peels regularly exposing a pink and green trunk. I have a flowering mature tree (last pic) that might fruit this year. I can offer free scions (+$10 S&H) if you want to graft to these in the future to speed up fruiting. Although these trees can flower/fruit in 3-5 years from seed. Thanks for looking.

They do take a while to germinate. Richard Reid generously sent me 4 seeds back in September. One sprouted three months ago. Two others popped up a few weeks ago.
And while separating the three seedlings, I found the last seed with a new 1/4" white root sticking out. So don't give up them too soon! Anyways, congrats! I'm looking
forward to trying these. I hear they can fruit in just a few years

Can you describe the flavor of mangosteen, which is always on the "best fruits" list?

I had high expectations trying mangosteen and I was still blown away. My favorite fruit up to now. Hard to compare without knowing what you've tried, but it tastes like candy. Super concentrated sweet, but with enough tart after taste to not make it sickeningly sweet. Closest thing I've had was a super ripe, right off the tree, yellow Thai mango. Just remove the mango flavor, keep the tart and crank up the sweet, while being soft, fluffy and super juicy. My friend thought they taste like pixie sticks
