Traveling to Los Angeles
« on: September 13, 2021, 11:51:40 AM »
Due to unforseen circumstances I will be traveling to Los Angeles this week.

Do you guys know where I can purchase some nice Atemoyas and/or cherimoyas?  I will only be until Sunday but maybe I can try something nice.  I have read very good things about California annonas.

Thanks!

If you meant to purchase live plants, the 2 nurseries stated above are good choices.  If you meant to purchase fresh fruits, you can try https://www.sasounproduce.com/ and call them ahead to see what are available.  This is located in West Los Angeles and shouldn't be too far from LAX.  I have never shop here so cannot give a recommendation.  I did found some Cherimoya two weeks ago from Sprouts supermarket; they only stock a few and infrequent for $6.99/lb.  Good luck!

Try a place called Ut Trai Cay Fresh Fruits. There are also plenty of Asian grocery stores in the San Gabriel Valley that carry tropical fruit. Some people might have fruit on trees right now too. You could ask on the buy/sell forum.
