Hi Marcos,
Do you have a taste report on the araticu? Is the neolaurofolia that you had before or different?
Thanks

Hi, yes I do, this one on the photo is Annona aff. parviflora, difficult to ID, but very nice flavour. My friend's fav., similar to lemony biribá but less pulp, more seeds as usual. Very hardy/healthy species, nothing kills them here.

we have very nice pitangas right now!

Hi Marcos,

I have three questions to ask you.

The Pitangas of this photo correspond to what in your Excel table?

The new variety of Pitanga Tangerine that you propose to what different from the reds that you already propose?

What variety of Pitanga do you prefer?

Thank you in advance for your answers ;).

Hello, No I dont have the one on the photo now. They all have some advantages, the big ones are usually not the sweetest but they are the easiest to process to make juices, ice creams, etc., and the flavor is good, similar to tangerines. The smaller ones are more useful to eat just like that but more complicated to harvest and process, I prefer the smaller ones to eat out of hand because they are sweeter.

I didnt tasted the Big red pitanga, Eldorado , but the collector told me it is good and I trust her.
Black pitanga, mid-size, Eldorado, Stock: 50 is good as almost all black ones.
I tasted Big red tangerine pitanga, Junin and I liked it, stronger taste. Not bad flavours. I dont sell the bad ones I know: I grow many more, but some of them are not good. I select and sell the good ones.

Regards

Yes I am aware of their rarity, because of the degradation of their natural habitat ...

I will do my best to grow in the best conditions ;).

As for the guabijú: they should not be drowned in water, and they sprout better if they are planted superficially, seeing some light.

Hi Marcos,

Is the Araza Pera the same as Para Guava (Psidium acutangulum)?

Hi, no:  this is another spp., we dont know its correct ID, native from Misiones. Not acutangulum for sure.
