  The exporter has booked the flight for trees.

  HKG CX872 1/9/2023 00:55 AM  --> 1/8/2023 SFO 20:35 PM.

   They are still waiting for the Phyto document's approval, which is likely to come out  today or tomorrow.

  We need to start planning our logistics in the USA.
   
  Please send me the shipping address and phone number to biaozhang@hotmail.com if it is not local pick up.

  I am expecting one person from Socal can come to the bay area to pick up the trees for Socal folks. We can pay the gas
and time effort.

Just a few updates.
  1. For Solcal local pickup, I plan to use package shipping service below.
  https://www.xedohoang.com/index.php/en/bus-schedules/departing-from-northern-california
    we will have two pickup locations: LA and San Diego.
    The bus stop in LA is at 1231 North Spring Street, LA, CA, LA POC picks up the trees at around 2:00PM,
    in San Diego it is located at 9326 Mira Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA, LA POC picks up the trees at around 5:00PM

    I will prepare two boxes( or more depends on the size), one for LA, and another one for San Diego for local POC pick up and all buyers reach to them as we did last time.

    Jozeph volunteers to be the San Diego POC, and Ronni volunteers to be LA POC. Thank Jozeph and Ronni for the great support.

  2. The Phyto document approval has not come out yet due to the pandemic situation in China,
    if the exporter does not receive that on Saturday next day, the shipping might be delayed to sometime next week. They have not started pulling up trees from the farm yet, which is good for us.

   I went to check out the bus stop in San Jose this morning. The bus departs at 8:30 am and heads down to LA,
  San Diego  every day .
 
 It appears to be a reliable service for passengers and package shipping as Greyhound does( Greyhound has stopped package shipping services recently). See the picture attached below.

For the LA Area folks, I am in Santa Monica and will be picking up the trees when they arrive downtown at 2 pm-ish and heading West.  Guided by the exemplary job Joe K did last time round, I will be putting them in water  immediately so if you think you won't be able to get to me within 24 hours, please let me know (crfgwla at gmail) and we will figure out how best to keep your trees safe. Last buy I used an aquarium pump to aerate the water a la Ingham compost tea,  but you might have better ideas.  I do have the Monterey nematode control but will not treat all the trees unless everyone agrees.

Bill, if you could get me a list of buyers and their specific purchases (variety and number) that would be great.

Bill - if the shipment arrives SFO on the Saturday pm, when would you expect USDA to perform the inspection?  Note that 1/16 Monday is a holiday.

Great news about the phyto!  And yes, I agree it would probably  make more sense for the scions not to sit at SFO over the long weekend.

 Based on our request, the exporter has changed the flight departure date.
 The departure time bound for the first stop is on the date 1/15, the date and time for the second stop(SFO) is to be confirmed.
