Wasn't able to find info on rooting che. I'd suppose it's best done when dormant in winter coming into spring if it is deciduous anyway. I usually don't have too much success rooting fruits from cuttings especially temperate species.

I have male and female that i grafted on osage orange hoping i will like them. This year it fruited and it's a keeper for me. Consistency of a chewy fig with easy to chew seeds taste of a very sweet watermelon.
My scions came from fruitwood nursery

Definitely willing to buy some if anyone has rooted airlayers etc. I may make it over to just fruits and exotics again before long but like to support individual growers if possible.

I got a couple cuttings from achetadomestica and both rooted easily using dip n grow. They send amazing cuttings.

I would encourage you to put in the ground only a plant that is grafted on to Osage Orange.

When grown in ground then can sucker and these plants have wicked thorns!

I am battling with a cutting I planted in ground.  :'(

There are might be different types. I have two varieties and they don't have thorns at all. I still grafted it on osage.

Did any of you that have rooted cuttings do it during the active growth season?

It was earlier this year in May. Very easy to root. I just keep them very lightly moist in my banana potting mix (rice hulls, composted pine bark, and perlite). A clear plastic cup on top for added humidity. Rooted and growing well in my propagation greenhouse under 70% shade cloth.
