I just noticed one of my bush has about 300 near-ripe Miracle fruit.
A bumper crop. I eat them one-by-one when I can but what to do with the hundreds of others?
Just looking for tricks-of-the-trade when you have too many fruit. I've been growing miracle fruit for about 20 years but never know what to do with excess fruit. They volunteer around the house in a couple years later I discover 100's of fruit on a new bush. Pretty bush with the red berries.
But, what to do with all the fruit?

You can dehydrate and store in air tight jars. Can also sell some on the forum :)

They freeze nicely, and unthaw in your mouth pretty much like a fresh one. I have a container of them in the freezer.
-
Freezing is the best way to keep them. If you cook them it denatures the protein and its not sweet any more. I have also found that the lose potency in the freezer long term.
-
Give them to all the neighbor kids along with lemon slices. They get a big kick out of them!

Thanks, I'll freeze a bunch as recommended.
I was thinking maybe to make miracle fruit jelly. But, probably wouldn't turn out.

I tried something similar once--all sweetness was gone. It was sour. I might have been able to add sugar and make something like cranberry sauce. It would have been a lot of work for a sugar added product.

I can confirm this.

Plant the seeds. There is no limit to the people that will buy them. It will take you about a year may be two but you could easily make $5000 off of 200 plants.
-
Hop on a plane with some of the fresh seeds and come visit me in Peru. I'd buy a few seeds off you.

once i took a high quality vegetable peeler, and peeled off the flesh, you could probably use a grafting knife too...it takes a while, but i made a huge cake out of it (pulp only, like tiny filets)...and then i froze it, and ate off it for a while... but probably smarter to freeze into portions, like icecube trays....
then you can sell or plant the seeds after...
a lot of work...for sure...

Now that's dedication!
Has anyone tried sprouting the frozen seeds? I'd assume that wouldn't work with a tropical plant, but then some seeds grow fine after freezing.

Thnx for the suggestions. I’m too lazy to do that!
I’m just going to put them in a Tupperware container and freeze some. I do plant the seeds and they do volunteer freely in my yard. I always thought they would be difficult to grow but easy in my backyard.
