The tree takes heat well. Mine is in the sun all day well after 5pm and only turns red from the heat in the summer months. No leaf burn. We got particularly cold weather in the teens this year but the tree was dormant and had no problem. Flushes right back in February. I did have trouble with fruit drop in the first few years and I had to hand pollinate with a brush to get fruit. This year I’m trying to douse the tree with the garden hose when the flowers bloom in the morning. I will report on weather or not this works.

Unfortunately I do not know the variety. The person I bought it from told me it was a popular commercial variety in Iran. I have confirmed the fruit is very dark purple and the arils are a light transparent pink. These pictures are my own from two years ago. I regret not take pictures of the inside. My tree is currently flowering. I will take pictures of arils this year.

Hi Truman. I hope this goes well for you. I am all for more seed sellers! As someone who prefers  buying seeds over plants, I love the idea of a one stop shop but my biggest concerns are shipping time and seed viability before shipment. By going through a middleman (sorry) will I have to wait twice as long for shipping? Or will you be able to receive bulk orders and store them? Best of luck!

Hey Mike, just wanted to let you know the “very” germinated peanut butter fruit seeds you sent me are doing great. They worked out better than fresh seeds because something (probably ants) ate most of the fresh seeds before they had a chance to germinate. Thanks for the extras 8)

I love the website just the way it is. I’m very grateful for all the members who put in the work to spread knowledge and spread plants. Even if there are a few bad seeds now and then it’s pretty clear most people that sell on the forum are fruit lovers and just trying to spread the wealth✌️

The fruit are baseball sized. Not as large as wonderful pomegranate but not a whole lot smaller. The seeds are softer and the taste is mild sweet and not as tart as a regular pomegranate. I would say the taste is similar to pomelo

Taking a few cuttings from my mature black pomegranate tree. I don’t know the cultivar name but the person I purchased it from said it was a variety from Iran. The pictures are from my own tree. Fruit does not set well on its own and for me requires hand pollination. Fruit is about baseball sized with pinkish white arils. I’ve found the cuttings root best in 100%perlite. Cuttings will be cut (Friday November 4th) and shipped same day USPS priority wrapped in moist paper towels. Price is $20 for 5 cuttings + $12 USPS priority shipping. Shipping in US states only where permitted. Cuttings will not be available after November 4th. Thank you:) -Eric
