I used to go shopping with my mom and grandma when I was little. So, unfortunately I am a sucker for a good deal.
Found this sold as maprang online. Verdict?

That looks like maprang to me, but mango can look very similar. If it grows slowly, it’s probably maprang. If it grows fast like a weed, it’s probably mango! But I’m a relative novice here, so maybe someone else can confirm?

Are new leaves look almost black (very dark purple) before the turn green? My maprang does it.

Maprang has opposite leaves. Mango has alternate leaves. These leaves are opposite. 🙂
