Hi all, I have several Paggi banana plants for sale. I am going to stop growing this variety and I would like to spread the genetics around. This is a very rare variety. For me this variety really struggles with my cool mild summers. I think it needs to be grown in areas with more heat. Such as Riverside, Corona or anywhere more than five miles from the coast. I'm 2.5 miles from the beach and my summers are mild. The plant grows very slow for me and produces medium size bunches of very good fruit. People growing this variety in areas with a lot of heat, ie Texas, Florida, Hawaii etc, report that it grows and tastes great. Several have reported it being their favorite banana variety. I received this variety from a college professor who obtained it from the USDA. I have 5 gallon plants for sale for $30 each. These are pictured below. I also have some 1.5 gallon plants available for $30 each. THESE I CAN SHIP.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi all, these are grafted onto Cherimoya rootstock.  They are in 14" tall pots so they can grow a deep tap root.  They will be shipped in the pot with the soilless media they are growing in.  Nothing will be trimmed or removed.

Hunucma Amarilla Reticulata is an excellent tasting and beautiful fruit.  This is a newer variety that was introduced by JF here on this forum.  It is reported to have low grit and taste great.  It grows well here in Socal and has survived several winters unprotected outdoors.  PM if interested.  $90 each plus shipping.

Thanks

I have two 2 gallon size plants for sale.  For me this is the Holy Grail of bananas.  It produces large delicious bananas but on a shorter plant with a thick pseudostem that won't fall over.  It is cold sensitive and slow growing here in Southern California.  But it grows and fruits fine.  It should flourish in Florida or other places with lots of heat.  This is a very rare variety.  I only have two plants available.  I will have more available next year.  $70 each plus shipping.

Two plants cost $55 plus shipping.
Four plants cost $100 plus shipping.
Eight plants cost $175 plus shipping.

Garcinia sp. Luc's.  This plant grows and excellent tasting, large fruit.  Plants can be male, female or hermaphrodite.  It is recommended to buy multiple plants for cross germination.  These plants will have at least eight leaves.  $35 each.

I know these aren't fruit plants but they are beautiful and useful.  These are also called Awapuhi plants. These are very tropical looking plants that produces large red flowers from the base. When the flowers turn red they can be squeezed to get natural shampoo from. You can collect shampoo from the flowers every 2-3 days. Here in Southern California these will die to the ground during winter. Then in the spring they will regrow and send up flowers in late summer into fall. These can be grown anywhere that doesn’t get frost. Check my other listings for other tropical fruit trees, plants and flowers.

Buy multiple and save
One plant $25
Two plants $40
Four plants $75

These are for local pickup from Long Beach CA or I can ship these.  Please PM me you full address for a shipping quote.  These will be shipped in the pot. Nothing will be trimmed removed. They will be shipped in the soil less media they are growing in.  You will receive plants similar in age and size to the pictured plants.  I have larger one gallon plants available for local pickup.

Hi all, I know, I know, these aren't edible.  But they are beautiful and they grow great in the shady parts of your yard.  These are all considered cold hardy for Heliconia.  They should grow fine anywhere that doesn't get frost.

Rostrata-  I have two types of this Heliconia. I have Rostrata and Dwarf Rostrata. Rostrata will grow to 6-9 feet and then produce a flower that is 1-2 feet long. Dwarf Rostrata will grow to 3-6 feet tall and then produce a flower that is about a foot long. Dwarf Rostrata is a more vigorous grower and is supposed to be more cold hardy. The one gallon size costs $40. The five gallon size costs $70.

Latispatha Orange Gyro- It grows to 5-7 feet and then sends up a beautiful orange flower. This plant looks very tropical. It does best in part to mostly shade. I have a limited number of one gallon plants. They cost $40 each.

Griggsiana "Angry Moon"- Heliconia Griggsiana "Angry Moon" is a very rare and cold hardy form of Heliconia. It grows between 3,000 and 7,200 feet elevation in a small part of Columbia and Ecuador. It likes cooler weather. It has flowered in Southern California. It grows to about twelve feet tall. The undersides of its leaves are purple to red in color. The pendant flowers grow up to five feet long! They are a beautiful red, purple and white color. This is a stunning Heliconia that should do well in Southern California.  These plants grown from seed. I have two sizes.  I can ship both sizes.  The one gallon plants are in 9" deep pots.  They cost $70 each.  The two gallon plants are in 12" tall pots.  They cost $100 each. I CAN SHIP THESE.

Penduloides "Perfect Darling"- This is a stunning variety of Heliconia.  The bottom of the leaves are coated with with powder.  The long pendulant flower is beautiful colors of yellow, orange and white.  I'm not sure how cold hardy this variety is.  The one gallon size costs $70 and the two gallon size costs $100.  I CAN SHIP THESE.

Fire and Ice- Fire and Ice is the most cold hardy type of Heliconia. It grows and flowers very easily here in SoCal. It makes any backyard look tropical with it large banana like leaves. It grows to about 6-8 feet tall before it produces a red and yellow upright flower. I have these in 5 gallon and 7 gallon sizes. The 5 gallon size is 3-4 feet tall and costs $30. The 7 gallon size is 5-6 feet tall and costs $50.

Hi all, I have some Luc’s Garcinia seedlings for sale.  I have regular for $30 each.  They are growing in 4x4x10” tree pots.  This lets them develop a deep taproot.  Hopefully they will grow faster because of this.  They will have at least four leaves on the plant.

Luc’s Jumbo.  This is a variety I call S #1.  I have several sources of Luc’s Jumbo seeds growing.  All of these seedlings are from seed from the same tree.  It is a fruiting tree in Florida.  The fruit off this tree is indeed larger than the regular Luc’s Garcinia.  These seedlings should carry that same characteristic.  They cost $40 each.  They will have at least four leaves on the plant.

Garcinia sp. Pacuri.  I only have a couple of these.  This is a fast growing Garcinia that is cold hardy.  The fruit tastes like a cross of Intermedia and Achachairui.  They will have at least four leaves on each plant.  $45 each.

All prices are plus shipping.  I will ship the plants as pictured nothing will be trimmed or removed.  They will be shipped in the pot in the soilless media.  If interested please send me a message with your full mailing address and I will get you a shipping quote.  I will add some pictures soon.

Thanks,
Bill
