I have a cac mango and an oro negro blocking my big Western window.

I find it looks nice having trees with open canopies next to the windows.

I'm a bit concerned the weight of 5 or 6 full size fruits will break the branch. 😯

Congrats on the first time fruiting it.
As Simon said, they do tend to fruit in clusters,
The fruit are on the smaller side so it might not be an issue.
When they get bigger use a prop stick to support the branch if you are worried

One came ripe today and I let it sit in my kitchen so I could enjoy the aroma for a couple of days before eating it.

What a disappointment it was, it had zero sweetness and was only made edible by putting the pulp in a blender and adding sugar.

I'm hoping that as it matures the fruits will improve... fingers crossed.

Sad to hear it was disappointing Gary, hopefully as the tree gets bigger it sweetens up.

I finally got another ruby supreme. After spending the last ten years or so growing and tasting all these fancy tropical fruits not many top a good guava in my book

June plum, fig, and mulberries have a dormant-like season in South Florida so they might not look great during a few months of the year.

As Maria in Brevard mentioned June plums can be difficult to eat but there are better varieties out there (Just not common in the nursery trade)

I have two Starapples in the front yard and they are beautiful trees. Not much theft, it seems not many know about it.
I only get comments from people from the West Indies.

Mammae Americana is also a great choice, looks like a magnolia but with dark green leaves.
It seems to grow like a Christmas tree naturally but it should branch out okay with pruning.

I agree with Loquat as a nice front yard tree but be prepared to bag them if you don't want worm-infested fruits.

Grumichama and Jaboticaba are a bit slower than the rest (but look nice), so prepare for a wait if you want a proper tree

A sweet Tamarind or even inga tree might work too

Malay apple is a nice-looking exotic tree.
When it flowers, it litters the floor with vibrant pink petals.

Sapodilla is also nice too.

  My tree was planted as a 1g last year and is trying to hold 5 fruit. I just pulled them off. I think its too early to decide how it will behave. Also, the tree appears to grow compact and slow from what Ive seen at Tropical Acres... so could work in a tight area or a pot probably longer term.

I've had it multi grafted on one of my trees for around 4 years now.
From what I've seen, slower than a Pickering.
Flowers easy but doesn't hold fruit that well. At least this far west.
I'm having similar experiences with my pina colada

From my yard I've used peach, mulberry, Jackfruit, avocado, cacao and starapple.
Starapple seems to make the food a little mouth numbing so I stopped.

I just need to get a better wood curing setup but so far everything has been mild compared to good old oak

Wait for it to break dormancy.
They don't look great this time is year.
One early summer comes around it should look a lot better.
If it doesn't than I feel your pain. We have some pest in north Broward that makes sugar apple very hard to grow now.
Atemoyas seem less effected

I'm starting to graft some of my rootstock and I clipped a lot more branches from the mother tree then I need.
Since these are already clipped this is for local pick up only.
Probably going to have some tropic sun scions too

As far as I know cherimoya doesn't cross with soursop.
What that forum member appeared to be selling was annona Montana.

I planted mine in 2018 and it is around 10ft tall now.
Has been giving me around 30 large fruits every year.
I only prune it to shape it, never trim the top

Yeh is a reticulata from JFs travels. He spoke very highly of it
I never got to sample it as my tree died a few years ago

I might bug you for some budwood at some time in the future
