Orange essence versus Orange Sherbet bloom

My orange sherbet over the last two seasons has had partial bloom. Does orange essence bloom more consistently than OS?

From what I know, OE seems to be more precocious than OS. My bro in law's tree is way smaller than both of my OSs, and he had lots of flowers and now little fruits. I only have a few OS fruit.

That's so strange because my OS tree is loaded with fruit this year.  Goes to show that every tree & every yard is different.  My tree came from Zill.

Not really from what we’ve seen.

Thank you Alex! As far as the Citrus profile OS and PPK are as about as good as it gets in consistency of bloom. I still have the Lemon Zest that you grafted onto Piva for me. It is having the desired effect of throttling LZ a tad bit. I guess with adding Super Julie and Ah Ping and maybe Rosi Gold I will have fine tuned My Personal Collection as much as possible. The only thing I may do differently next season is use Dynapro bloom.

That’s encouraging to read, because the other Lemon Zests we grafted onto Piva just seemed to grow like normal vigorous trees.

Curious if Piva rootstock could calm down Pineapple Pleasure?

Curious... are Lemon Zest normally fast growing?  I've had a tree in the ground 3 years and its maybe 7 feet tall.  Granted it got shredded and pushed over during Ian, but it seems to be growing pretty slowly.  It did push out alot of new growth a month ago and the tree is very clean, but all of the branches are pretty thin.  Not young ice cream or dwarf Hawaiian thin but pretty close.  Is that normal?

Is pineapple pleasure fast growing?  Been pretty slow for me so far.  I think the first couple of years I was only getting two flushes a year.  This year its already flushed twice, so maybe its picking up the pace?

Fast Growing?

A tree like Pickering that is often loaded with fruit especially if a young tree, will grow slower.

For me, Pineapple Pleasure held zero fruit the first 6 years and thus it was very fast growing.
