Pretty.
Fruit from seedling or from a graft on a big tree?

Very nice! I wish there were more people experimenting with annona hybrids here in Florida.

Great to hear.
Let us know if you ever consider releasing it.
I'd like to grow this alongside the Cherilata.

It seems Tikal is chosen as the reticulata parent more often than not, is there any particular reason?
I have not had the fruit yet, haven't even found budwood here.

I used Tikal for the intense interior color and low seed count to flesh and berry overtones.
But now I am looking also at diseases resistance and bearing capacity, size of fruit ect.Tikal is prone to anthracnose  and shy bearing also a bit small.

Was Tikal the seed parent?  Or the pollen parent?

For some reason I could not find a single picture of Tikal custard apple on the internet. How does the red compare to say a Fernandez?

No that is on another tree and that fruit is now super red,I'll have to keep a eye on that one as i think it is getting very close to ripe and that's a first fruit for the tree!
