Fried Egg Tree, Oncoba spinosa

Anyone else growing this? I grabbed a couple from Top Tropicals when they were on super sale. The Sri Lankan Weevils love them, and the spines on the tree make the weevils difficult to remove. Still, this little tree was looking particularly good this morning:

Not expecting much in terms of fruit taste.

A park near me has a few big ones and the silvery seeds look good in the orange flesh. The fruit looks like it was pulled from a crevice on the great barrier reef
