Annona punicifolia
« on: July 23, 2024, 09:57:27 AM »

My second seedling just started fruiting! Seeds originally came from forum member (Lilith-vzla) in 2018.

Very cool.  What would you recommend as rootstock for these rarer annonas?  A. Montana seems to be what everyone is recommending.  Our tree just doesn't want to flower even though it had a fruit on it last year when we bought it.  I'll have to do some research in hopes of grafting some of these rare annonas next spring.
Thanks for sharing, Mike

I use montana on most and also cherimoya seems to work very well. glabra works on some but I've also noticed more incompatibilities with it over time with certain species.
