a beautiful sight indeed!

Seems ours is finally getting going this year too. One grafted tree (10 feet +), plus a grafted branch that has taken over a NDM4 tree. So, hopefully lotsa OS this year.

I have one (from Zill) that must be dwarf.  It is 4 years old and less than 6 feet tall.  It is flowering this year.
Grafted scions from the same plant have grown very vigorously and actually fruited last year.
I am convinced on some root stock they may be dwarfed but perhaps on most they would grow to be a huge tree.

I am envious of folks who are expecting Orange Sherbet mangoes this season. I bought some of them at Fruitscapes last years and was shocked at how good they were. I immediately bought a 3 gal OS tree after tasting the fruits. The tree seems to have a weird growing pattern, growing consistently for the first few months then stopped since around late September/October.

Interesting, I’ve heard they can be pretty precocious for some growers in south Florida…I wonder who has had good productivity luck with young OS trees (assuming not many growers have OS trees over 5 years old)

I have a 5 year old + OS that’s given me one mango so far. Hoping for a good year this year.
