Hey Dudes!
What's the best Mango to grow in a container that isn't the ordinary known Condo Varieties (Pickering, Carrie, Dwarf Hawaiian, Etc.)!!??
Lost our home and 90% of our fruit forest/gardens in Hurrican Ian. Have a few things going in containers now at our rental Condo but, would love some input/ideas!
Thanks!

I would automatically recommend pickering even with you saying not to.
Not many new compact container varieties out at all really.

Very sorry to hear that. Will you be able to rebuild? Is Ice Cream supposed to be a container mango?

So Sorry to hear about your home.
When I owned my condo I did lot of research on this and determined
That general consensus is that ONLY Pickering and Julie our dwarfs, even so, root pruning and pruning will eventually be required. They can certainly both grow 20+ft in an adult human lifetime if planted in ground and never pruned.

Why not try Cecilove and Little Gem. I found both to be precocious. Honey kiss

I would reach out to Alex at Tropical Acres and see what he recommends be grafted on to Piva or other dwarfing rootstock and they can make that for you.

Sorry to hear about your losses.
For less common container varieties I'd say, Ice cream, Thai Everbearing, Arka neelkiran, pina colada, and maybe Jehangir (though is productivity is questionable in south florida)
