my soil pH is too high, I need to apply elemental sulfur granules.
Most sources say it is not very effective, or at least very slow-acting, if simply applied to the soil surface. It's recommended to work it into the soil to a depth of several inches.
I have established trees in this area, so i cannot till it into the soil, etc.
My thought was to use a 6 inch depth soil plugger (ProPlugger) at a safe distance around the trees to pull out plugs and fill with sulfur granules and either native soil, compost, or peat.
Good idea or stupidity?
