2025 Spring Yangmei (Myrica rubra) Group Buy
bill_bayarea:
I’ve received many inquiries about purchasing Yangmei trees, and I’m considering organizing the fourth round group buy this spring (mid-February to early March 2025).
To avoid potential delays or USDA inspection issues at customs, I will be working with an import/export company that offers expedited shipping and improved packaging. This ensures a higher growth rate for the seedlings.
Here’s how the packaging works:
Each seedling is individually wrapped with a suitable amount of soil or growing medium around the roots.
The leaves are trimmed by about 70% to maintain optimal moisture levels during transit.
The packages will be shipped directly to Southern California or the San Francisco Bay Area for convenient local pickup by most buyers, normally it takes about 7-10 days.
I’d love to hear your thoughts! Please share any expectations regarding the starting date, preferred varieties, pricing, or anything else you’d like to discuss about this group buy.
Looking forward to your feedback!

Rain:
I'm always interested in this fruit. I read that it is cold tolerant to zone 8 or 9. Is it true? If so I would love to buy some!
fishie:
I'd be in for a few trees if you do decide to move forward.
nullzero:
A try some trees again if the order is going through.
gozp:
What varieties will they be having?
