Location: South Florida; Time: Summer; Soil: Sandy.

I planted a mix of seeds around a few mango trees a couple months ago as the rainy season was about to start. The mix was suppose to be the MILPA Garden Warm Season Mix from Green Cover Seed. The one I got had more variety and no corn seed? I added more red ripper cow peas to the mix. I did not check again until today. It looks like only two types of plants survived. A grass and the red ripper cow pea. Everything else died or was eaten. 

I have never geocached or exchanged seeds, but I wonder if they might benefit each other in combination? Some sites might work as seed exchanges. Some sites might work as plant a seed or seedling and lets see if it survives? Some sites night be small food forests and might get bigger and more nice using a geocache. I don't know? Just an idea I had a last week.

What are the top 10 best invasive species, in your opinion? Plants & animals?

If you plant trees around a desert is that considered invasive?

I bought Red Ripper Cowpea as a nitrogen fixer, but the iguana eat them as fast as I can plant it. Now I buy raw peanuts as a ground cover / nitrogen fixer and use the red ripper cowpeas as bait for my traps.

Maybe aquamarine would be a better color so the styrofoam island offshore is also less of a eyesore?

Has anyone grown different varieties of moringa oleifera and compared them?  I saw a dwarf version at  https://www.rareseeds.com and several types at http://jatrophaworld.org/index.html
A seed exchange or source selling little packets of all the different varieties for a few dollars each would be helpful information. I hope the ones I bought are the really good heirloom type.

When I kill a iguana I cut this tongue out and cook that up over a fire and just eat that. My wife thinks iguana are medicinal and she eats the rest.

Just kidding. Everything tastes like chicken. They don't call them tree chickens for nothing.

We don't fish for carp in America or mullet as far as I know. Aren't they vegans?

I was looking at a thorny bush to hack up and make a bonsai today and there were iguana inside playing around and mocking me.

Ordered some seeds of CARISSA CARANDAS and afterwards discovered it was used in the Great Hedge of India. Now I have the plant to build an impenetrable hedge around my garden.

I have never used a refractometer before and was wondering about them. I guess most people on this forum would check the sugar level of a fruit with one.

I have read some people smell mango seedlings before they decide whether to chop them down or not in their breeding program.

(1) Could a refractometer get a useful reading off a mango seedling leaf or sap from a stem?

(2) Can a refractometer be used to identify the clone of a polyembryonic seedling?

(3) What do you do you use a refractometer for?

(4) Why do I need one?

I watched a few more videos by iguana man on youtube yesterday and saw something to try to modify on my DIY iguana trap.

Also saw them catching bright green baby iguana at night when they were sleeping. They looked like they were easy to spot and catch with only a  flashlight.
