Eugenia cereja

I'm looking for some feedback on this -- how large are the fruits of E. cereja?  My recollection is about 1" but I cannot seem to find it documented anywhere.  Do these fruits tend to be bird magnets or are they large enough not to be extremely attractive to birds?  I'm trying to figure out where to plant these -- don't want them too close to the house if attractive to birds.

They look slightly larger than an inch from the photo I've seen.

If there are any Portuguese speakers out there, how would you translate the common name 'Cereja da cerra'?

BTW I'm after seeds of this species.

Cereja da serra is cherry of the mountain (more or less... serra is like sierra, ridge...)

I thought serra was Spanish and cerra was Portuguese. Anyway, that is how Helton wrote it.

But when I looked up cerro on Pt wiki, it said it means a "small hill"; synonymous with colina and morro. https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morro

Mountain would be "montanha".

Also, cerra is plural, right?

Cerra is a error typo for shure. it doesn't exist, only serra that is a big hill or maby he want to make a referance to cerrado...
