black eugenia uniflora fruiting now

how should I do for this video to display here at the forum?

Today I tasted a properly ripen one, normal size -bigger than those- and it was incredibly good! red juicy pulp, very sweet and acid, one of my favourite fruits ever!

Congratulations!
How old is your tree?
Is it grown from seed?

Does it need to reach a specific size to fruit? Mine are 5 years old in milk jugs and about 2.5 feet tall and many leaves and branches, but no flowers.

But it looks very good, Lory. Maybe you should fertilize it.

"Does it need to reach a specific size to fruit? Mine are 5 years old in milk jugs and about 2.5 feet tall and many leaves and branches, but no flowers."

Maybe you should fertilize more, but this is normal, 5 years or more to fruit is ok.

Thanks!
Actually you're right, i tend to be quite scarce in terms of fertilizing.
Tomorrow I will do it  :)

I have had flowers on a Uniflora in 12 months but if you look after them properly you will get them fruiting around 2-3yrs

Had first flowers in a year from one, I don't know how because it was neglected. Just lucky I guess though my others fruited around the two to three year mark.

Maybe in fact it was because it was neglected: I have had some trees that felt they were going to die so they flowered to spread the species...

About 2 or 3 years ago, I also had one that has flowered with little more than one year old, and it was in a 10cm pot, and no more than 40cm tal, maybe the possibility of dying, triggers the flowering proccess...
