Mango: please don’t laugh at my Okrung
« on: August 31, 2021, 03:40:18 PM »
Tree ripen with disfigured thing. I Will filet the 2 cheeks with skin intact, then cut each cheek lengthwise and eat it as orange wedge; dig into the peel as far as I like.

I think great mangoes should be cut this way to enjoy the flavor closer to the skin.

Could be worth $100,000 like the chicken Mcnugget!

Peep duck (with the arrow in its heart) or a male mango, whatever your mind would imagine. I brought it to work and shared with 4 coworkers. I cut the "thing" off before fileting the fruit. I had the meaty seed and 3 guys 1 girl took the wedges. It was good and everyone was surprised it was so sweet even with green skin -- they had never had an Okrung before. One guy asked me to have the cut off "thing", the other guy said it probably had no bone and everyone had a good laugh.

Again, I think cutting a flavorful mango into wedges with skin unpeeled is the best way to enjoy it.
