Bumping to the top before she sees the chainsaw.

I'm in Coral Springs, where are you located?

It’s personal taste , some people I’ve talked to prefer them over any Plinia Jaboticaba’s.

I agree & it's rare to find a specimen tree like this for sale.

True - and that's a fair price for a tree that age. Didn't mean to downsell your Vex, sorry if it came off that way.
I recall back in about 2013 or so when Adam at FlyingFoxFruits paid way more than than for one that big when the Vexator first became a thing.

Not all, you're good, not every fruit is for every person! I remember Agam driving down here from Orlando to pick his tree up.

Sounds like you enjoyed the fruit as much as mine that I sold. LOL Really good looking tree but...

Fruit is actually very good, large seed, thick skin. Tree is beautiful! just need the space for my new loquat addiction lol

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / WTB China White Loquat Tree

I am looking for a grafted China White loquat tree for sale.
South Florida (Broward County)

Thank you.

I bought seeds in 2012, and this is the first year my tree is flowering and holding fruit. The question I have is how long until the fruit ripens and how I will know when to pick them.
Can anyone give me a taste/texture profile?
VERY EXCITED!

Sounds like he found a few trees someplace and decided to make up a name and guess what they are a cross of..... FTG

16
I'd put it just below the graft line

Can we ban bsbullie?

Can we ban you?

Have you ever grown pitangatuba?  Seen ripe fruit?  Know its texture and fragility of it when ripe?  Jyst how would it lend itself to a commercial market (I am not even going to discuss the masses do not support fruit if this tartness)?  Do you even know what you are talking about or just spewing garbage?

Comparing it mango is ludicrous.

If you want to go at it, just be prepared. .

bsbullie for the win!...... watch out W. you fixin to be schooled, boy

Paintball gun, I've never seen a painted squirrel in my yard.... it's also great target practice with ammo prices as high as they are... gotta stay sharp

19
Those prices seem a bit high, but I don't know the market in GA like I do in South Florida

Denise mango

What is that?

Sounds like a sapling someone grew and gave it a name we have a few up here but like Walter Zill said in his video. It's fine and dandy that people are proud of their trees but him and his brother have probably destroyed hundreds  of better trees. There is one locally in my area that is a sapling of Bombay with no fiber and Mild resin and Spice. I do not want to step on anyone's toes so that's about all I'm going to say but I would like to try it

Trust me, I know Walter extremely well.

Problem with naming and touting a seedling, or even propagating it is that it needs to be proven.  It should be monitored for years, and propagated to determine what its offspring will produce.  Between Walter and Gary, there have been many seedings that were great the first couple years and then crashed and burned (ala Yi Xaun) and there are other varieties in the total opposite boat (Honey Kiss amongst others come to mind).

Rob, I love my Honey Kiss

Mine is planted in ground about 30% direct sun 10% filtered sun and 60% shade, planted it out in 2016 as a 3 gal tree, today about 6 x 6 and flowered once, no fruit as of yet. very happy with its growth rate.
I'm hopeful the fruit is worth the wait.
also have a luc's Garcinia, seed grown 2012, 7 foot tall, no flowers or fruit as of yet! same lighting as Achacha

And that's all it's going to do is grow, I had a tree in my yard for 15 plus years and it fruited maybe a hand full of times with 1 or 2 fruits if I was lucky each time it fruited
