Racism is horrible.
Who would want to be judged based on what color their skin is.
attempting to somehow connect racism and climate change is a steaming pile.
 
I have lived in a beach town ringed by a mountain range for 40+ years and have been paying keen attention to the weather .
I draw my own conclusions based on my experience.

Parroting the news media is stupid. I don't play for the red or blue team.

you can't expect critical thinking in a mixed bag of nuts.
You can expect someone to take a dump in the middle of the room , and defend it and clean it like it's their favorite piece of furniture.
It's really sad got see people indoctrinated to bullshit whether it's a cult of politics, religion, or the tell lies vision.
People are  Manipulated by media and politicians , brain drained from TV and exhausted from diet.
So go outside and plant seeds in the earth or enjoy nature, help do something you think would take care of the earth and make it nicer for the next generation.

I see where your going , and yah, but taking a devils advocate position on honeybees right now? C'mon.
No native fruit tree's require them?  really great argument. what percentage of your fruit plants are native?
Bumblebee's ......fuck it this is a ludicrous reasoning to engage. good luck killing all the bee's for no reason.

There is just a lot of great reasons to have them around , and zero reasons to kill them that are rational.
The world is full of senseless killing. Let's just make friends with the bee's and not search for a dumb reason to exterminate something else that doesn't fit a narrow scope of understanding.

It kind of depends on what you grow. Honeybees are not native to North America; no native fruit species requires honeybees for pollination. A fair number use honeybees commercially, but if they need bees at all, bumbles and ground bees can handle it.

This includes rue, interestingly. Zanthoxylum is native to North America.

Pawpaws are beetle-and-fly pollinated, I think.

There is always a bee keeper very excited to come collect the swarm to a new hive. That is free honey/money in the bank, for some easy work.

I know a couple people growing it but none fruiting. and your right , I would not reveal that info.

What I was trying tip toe around is: What are you gonna do with Wani in SLO but kill it and kiss your $ good bye ? I overstand that people do that day in and day out, it's their right, but rare seeds and seedlings that come around never should go to safe places first I believe. It's theoretical anyhow though, never seen a seedling for sale here or anywhere.  If a seedling did somehow come up for sale , it needs to go to somewhere where it can live and maybe fruit. Not sold to the highest or first bidder.
I have had people trying to convince me to grow Mango's in central CA for a long time, since the "Mango Professor" cold hardy mango debacle that I poo poo'd all along the way and turned out to be a total fraud ( he was sued by some CRFG chapters).  Steve in los osos had a manila fruiting in a high tunnel but ya know, not really.
North of Pt. conception along the coast is not warm enough, go inland and it's too cold. SF East Bay and some Delta area's are marginal because the large bodies of water and asphalt mitigate the cold and they are inland enough the fog doesn't swamp their growing season. I love Mango's.

at $10 for 5 gallon. That sounds like you could get 100 5 gallons out of a truckload . that's $1000. Maybe you can't get 100 , I didn't check the math, maybe it's more.
It's less than $100 a truckload from an aggregate yard, call around. There are lots of cinder cones and pumice naturally in CA.

If I can find a truckload in Oakland and Watsonville, surely it exists in LA/SD .

Not to mention dangerous as well. I don't think Vitor has been seen or heard from since those times . Harvest windows's can be short and it's amazing when the timing can come together to collect seed on some of these missions, not to mention keep them viable  over land and sea.

Pumice is mineral nutrient rich so way better than the alternatives you mention.
It's like $50 - $100 for a truckload. so find an aggregate supplier that has it.
Use black instead of red.

Any gravels that contribute excess minerals ( ie limestone, high in Calcium Magnesium, raises pH ), or other Volcanics high in Zinc, Manganese etc might be avoided.

I've never seen a Want seedling offered here or anywhere else.
I think it's rare enough and hard enough to get out it should go to a safe climate where it can grow and fruit.
To my knowledge there are zero known fruiting tree's growing in a place where it is even semi easy to get seed from.
My best guess for who might have one fruiting anywhere in the americas would be Peter in costa.
I was surprised no one fruited it in Hawaii yet, unless they got a secret.
I really enjoyed Wani in Bali and would love to grow it too.
My friend lives there for years and can't get seed out.
It's not so good to get busted with it in your luggage leaving.

I been selling multi graft loquats and loquat scion since long before this preacher man came on the scene with his made up variety's and extremely high prices, and now endless excuses followed by crickets.
I just never sold anything I didn't actually have to sell, or promised a tree I hadn't grafted yet.
People seem happier to bet on the come of a promise and snazzy write ups of seedlings of unknown quality , and maybe some prefer to order through a website storefront.
The whole scene is made up of people wishing on a star.
Thanks out to those among us effectively figuring out new fruit frontiers and pushing limits by experimenting , learning and sharing .Your works are important.

I figured they could be kept compact by pruning. Most of the bushes I seen planted out were 20 foot wide , 4-5 feet tall and impossible to pick fruit without bleeding. tasty fruit!

I only like to buy fresh seeds from the source.
I have never bought from a tradewinds type storage house unless it was a fruitlovers tyoe deal where I assumed the seeds were fresh harvested and shipped.
This set up would be impossible for a number of tropical species categorized as needing to be stored “warm, tropical , moist” . Seeds that are viable for 7-10 days and need to be stored above 55 degree’s at all times.
I don’t think centralizing this will work. How did bid’ngrow go? And that had a little bit of hype and push from figbid and others.
Freshness is what matters to me with rare seeds, and I in general don’t care for the middleman philosophy of scraping cream that doesn’t need to be scraped.
In this case it sounds like an altruistic not profitable pain in the ass to sign yourself up for.
I see that your intention and everything is in the right place . I think you’ll definitely come up with some sort of profitable fruit biz for yourself.
