Pruning Moringa

Can you prune moringa too low where it won't grow back. I pruned moringa back in November to 3 inch stubs above the ground. It hasn't pushed any new shoots. Now seems like the time new shoots should begin here in San Diego. Do you think I killed it?

Can't kill mine. Cut it close to the ground, and it sends new shoots up and forms new trees. Have done it a couple of times now, time for another chopping.

I've had neglected moringa freeze to the ground and regrow the following summer. D

I had to cut my potted moringa tree down to basically just looking like a stump. No leaves. I needed to do this because it grew weird and I needed to transport it to my other property. I put the "stump" in the ground and within a week there were leaves coming out. It was incredible how that tree can come back. I don't think you will have an issue.

I took down a big one and will be planting large branches. I have laid down firewood sized pieces in shade and had them spring to life and develop into trees.
