Cutnut. Beautiful tree with even more gorgeous flower & fruit.

Taste similar to peanut & walnut, or so I hear.

Can't say I'm exactly reputable as I've just started, but I have a small shop on Etsy with some plants!

Great pricing for some really healthy looking seedlings, bareroot will be a bit tough on some of these but it is what it is.

I should have specified it's not completely bareroot. They will still have some of the original soil/peat moss they were in, wrapped in a moist tissue. Was just saying so people don't expect them to come in pots or something.

Jaboticaba plants are about 6 inches in height, little over a year old.  Some images below

The blue jabo seeds came from a tree with exceptionally sweet fruit, as well as slightly larger than on average than fruit from other trees. No other vexator tree I ever tasted fruit from had such good fruits, even in similar growing conditions. Therefore, I think these seedlings are a bit special.

Pitombas are about 2 years old, size varies.

USA only, will be shipped with priority mail. $10 shipping costs

Will be shipped with a little soil wrapped in most tissue.

Plants available:

Red: 3 ($10 each)

Blue: 11 ($25 each)

Pitangatuba: 2 ($15 each)

Imbe: 2 ($15 each)

Pitomba: 4 ($10 each)

If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the replies.

Garcinia bare root? have you successfully shipped them bareroot with no long term issues?

Will you have seeds later, maybe? Big worry for me on BAREROOT.

I would not worry about bareroot shipping. I have shipped bareroot with a little bit of soil before, seems to have no issue. I'm not sure about 100% bareroot, but I don't imagine it will be a problem if packaged properly.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: WTB- Bali salak
« on: March 26, 2021, 01:50:44 PM »
I got one from 9waters store on etsy.l recently.  Pretty sure he has more

The description on his salak page states that he is instead shipping red bali salak plants. Never heard of a red bali. Don't know why he didn't just make a separate page for it.

I'll probably get on of those if nobody chimes in here after a while. Hopefully it's an actual bali salak and I don't wait a handful of years to be disappointed.

Been looking for this one for ages, anyone happen to have any at this time?

Do you know it's cold tolerance?

Less cold tolerant than cacao.

16
You sell the fruit too?

17
Cupuasu is self infertile, you need two trees flowering to be sure of fruit set.
Peter

Don't worry, i've got two and more are on the way.

Bill Whitman fruited Cupuassu in Balharbor, Florida, some 20 years ago.

Thank you for letting me know.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / WTB- Cutnut plant/seed

Hello everyone, I am looking specifically for a cutnut (Barringtonia procera) plant, but I could also take seeds.

Thanks.

This post is old. Since then I have amassed multiple theobromas.
Theobromas are fruiting here at the moment and here is some from a couple of weeks ago. I think they would be a lot easier to grow in Florida than durian or mangosteen.

Still, if you are willing to sell me some seeds for a reasonable price I would love to buy some!

Hey Bud do you know if the Floridian examples were on the mainland and exposed to the full ravages of the outdoors?

All of the plants were grown in protected conditions.

Only place in continental US where purple mangosteen fruited is in Florida, with only 3 confirmed cases I believe. Besides the seeds being irradiated (all mangosteen fruit being imported into the US has to be irradiated) growing it would be a waste of time.

Shade is the way to go with garcinias in general.  The tree is also self fertile, so no need to worry about that. If you ask me I say get it if you can provide the proper growing conditions.

Where were you with these a few months ago? I paid nearly the price of one of your plants for one seed and i'm afraid I might have killed it.
