Oh, sorry I meant to write 7b. I'll PM you about the seedlings. Hopefully later this year I'll have edible flying dragon and citsuma fruit on my trees. Then I can offer some seed. Those just might do okay for you too. Clem x Tri x Clem might be worth a shot too but likely would need to be grafted on poncirus.

Are there different Trifoliate Orange? I see you listed it as edible Trifoliate.

I wanted to try my hand at grafting. Which grafting technique do you have the most success with? I have been looking at the videos by fruitmentor on Youtube but I would like imput from this form on your techniques.

I was scanning Ebay to see what cold hardy citrus was listed. While scanning I ran across this seller offering a hardy blood orange. Knowing blood orange is zone 9 citrus I had to contact and ask what zone where these bood oranges for and this was his reply.

Of course I had to respond back. Sellers like this ruin it for the good honest sellers. My goodness he went down to zone 4.

My changsha is coming from McKenzie. You know he is zone 8a and is growing all of that citrus. I have watched some YouTube videos about his farm and he has a lot more varieties than listed on his website.

All of the factors that evryone has pointed out is the reason I asked for cuttings. My limited income does not alow me to buy trees and I dont mind rooting cuttings, I have Lisbon lemon cuttings that I just rooted. I would like to have a meyer but the only possible way is by seed.

I buy meyers in the store and they taste pretty good to me.

I am growing some sunkist lemon seed (Meyer lemon). Do you think I can get close to the meyer lemon? I have a very limited income so I thought I would try to grow from seed. I know that hybrids do not grow true from seed but why not try?I was very lucky that a family member is buying me a Changsha orange (one that I have wanted for some time now) to plant. If anyone has some cuttings that they can share for postage I would greatly appreciate them. Let me know in the message section.

What hardy citrus trees have good flavor? I know the statsumas are good but what other hardy citrus have good flavor? I don't care if they have seeds. I grew up eating citrus with seeds so I don't mind seeds, that's why I ordered the Chagsha.

I bought this about 4 years ago. Due to illness I had not been able to do any gardening for about 4 years. I went out this spring to do so cleanup and I found the little citrus still alive in a 4" pot and it was still alive. Of course I had a wow! moment. It had grown as much as it could in a 4" pot with a few roots in the ground. 4 years of winter in a 4" pot in zone 8a. I bought it off Ebay and the seller says he did not know which orange it was but that it was a sweet orange. If I had planted it 4 years ago it would be large enough to bear fruit. It was a rooted cutting. I had my doubts back then that it would be sweet, but maybe. I am wondering now if maybe it is a Chansha mandarine. It has grown a lot since I planted it so maybe in a couple years more I will see fruit. It is about 3 1/2 feet now.

If a citrus is hardy why is it grafted to a hardy root stock. If it is hardy to 10 degress shouldn't it be hardy to that temp without grafting?
