Jorco is a very generic term. Your fruit looks like what passes for achachariu here in CR.

Robert, my photo of the ws above is the Cuccio (from Jonah scionwood). It had many large fruits on my grafts, taste was sweet. This variety seems to be very productive here in SoCal.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Maprang or Mango?

If the ad was for "maprang mango" or "mango maprang", it is definitely a mango.  A friend in Texas got burned with this as well.  Not sure if seller doesn't have a clue or is intentionally doing this.  I know they were told the tree was a mango and not a maprang.

Yup just went back and checked my purchases, "3ft grafted maprang mango". Well i guess that answers that lol

Potted specimens are in full bloom. Not sure if my hand and cross pollination is doing anything. My tropical guava dropped flowers pretty quickly, within days, if they didn't become fruit.

Not noticing any swelling on the first flowers which were self pollinated but the petals have fallen off and the rest is still firmly attached to the stem.

Not pictured, in ground plants are in full leaf but no flower buds anywhere. Since they are all small, can't confirm if they are able to flower after freezing back just yet.
