Not a big runner , but riding my bike 40 miles a day in the past kept me sane
Actually slow though but still got creative doing it
Good when you worked 70 to 77 hours a day every day of the year (not sure if It was 10 hours a day or 11)
but happier then than I am now.
Think of all those Rock stars doing all those reckless things, and being old though
Glad I do not use drugs never did really , but some of these guys still going, after crazy living must of been pretty active doing some stuff.
If you are interested in older books on American viticulture, the you should add The Culture of the Grape and Wine-Making by Robert Buchanan to your reading list. My 1853 fourth addition also has an "appendix containing directions for the Cultivation of the Strawberry" by Nicholas Longworth. I am sure it is digitized somewhere online, but since I have an original book, I have no need to stare at a computer screen.
This topic should also probably be moved to the temperate fruit section.
I agree I am always the one on the train with a old newspaper
Plan to copy some of these onto paper or read in moderation.

Thanks for the link. I o u one.
But now I know why older generation hates computers! Reading a dam book online is hell, compared to actually having a real book in hand.

wish I knew more about technology seems to be pretty expensive to buy those like a $1000 correct me if I am wrong -- so I have not looked to get one.
If you get an ebook reader (not an ipad) with an e-ink screen it is much easier to read than from a computer screen. Eink does not have a backlit display to tire your eyes, nor is there nearly as many problems with glare. The only problem with the eink kindle is that is does not support the open source epub format as yet while the Sony ereader and the Nook do. The kindle fire supports epub but it is not eink. Also, ebook readers have battery lifespans of days or weeks before needing charging again.
