For Sale: White Sapote Cuttings [3/28/22] - CLOSED

I had some unexpected work over the weekend removing and cutting down my multi-grafted white sapote (34 varieties) tree.

So, even though I was not planning to sell any this season, I will be selling cuttings now due to the branches I had to cut to dig up the tree for replanting. After I fulfil the free white sapote already promised, then I will sell most of the remaining cuttings I took from this tree.

Sounds like you are quite busy, but if you have the time, I'm sure forum members would love to read your thoughts about the flavors of those varieties.

I was not able to taste the fruits of all (many) of my grafted varieties. This year was the first time all my grafts had small fruits so I hoped to taste them and write up a comparison but that won't happen since I had to dig it up and most of the fruits fell off or will be cut off for scionwood.

All my scionwood came from reliable forum members (JF, Bush2Beach, ScottR, Jack_ Nipomo, achetadomestica, snowjunky, Oolie, MarkLee, others)  who are either experienced white sapote growers or have the trees with fruits and have told me it was true to the variety. Where possible I always try to get a few sources for my varieties but some are special finds or seedling which fruited and there is only one source. The McDill seedling tree is one of my seedlings (7yr old) with all the varieties grafted and this was the first year it had fruits (but I did not taste it yet)..
