I’ve been looking for this as well, very difficult to find. Plenty of Chinese varieties available, but not this variety and many often mislabel it.

Is this the one that they are calling Thai Thornless Giant Green? Any luck?

Nope, the Thai one is a different variety. This one is smaller, round not oblong, and mix of sweet/sour..starts out green, crisp, astringent and turns orange, sweet- sour, mealy, as it ripens. The only place I’ve seen it online is Sowexotic, however they are out of stock. Other names for this variety are “Ber” or “Boroi”.

Have you had the Thai? If so, how is it?

That might just be an old existing listing. I bought a tree from the first listing the other day and my order is for taiwanese thornless on the receipt.

If it's taiwanese thornless, I would purchase it.  I am very afraid it is not, waste a lot time to grow one it is not the variety I need.

As far as i know Ziziphus mauritiana - Thai thornless (Though multiple similar names have been used) is the only grafted Jujube you can find selling in south florida.
People don't really sell the Chinese ones locally this far south.

+1
Thai and Indian thornless jujube appear to be the same to me.

The version I had growing up in Bangladesh is different than the one Lara Farms is selling, which I believe is sweet( although never tasted it). The version I had is the one Sow Exotic is selling. The main difference is that it turns into a mealy consistency as it ripens versus stays crisp for Lara Farms variety I believe(like apple). Another difference is that it’s much smaller and develops sort of a musky smell when it’s ripe. It’s very common in India, Bangladesh and often people add spices (salt, chili pepper, cilantro, etc) to make a sweet/sour snack. There are people growing it in Florida within the Indian/Bangladesh community, but otherwise not available(besides what I saw on Sowexotic)
