Can you id this Annona?
« on: September 27, 2022, 06:52:49 PM »
I picked this up at the (excellent) feria in Santa Ana, Costa Rica. It's delicious, and has relatively few seeds, compared to other similar fruit I've had. Googling leads me to Ilama, but wikipedia describes the taste as "tart", which it's definitely not. Sweet, custardy, pink near the skin to almost white in the core.

I have saved and will shortly plant the seeds, but it'd be great to know what it is.

Thanks

It look like red custard apple/annona reticulata? The skin is smooth rather than bumpy right? Other may know more than I do

Great to hear. Good luck on the seeds. I heard they're easy to germinate and the tree is vigorous :D
