The Alano i had in Miami was pretty fast growing for a Sapodilla. I liked the Hasya better, bigger fruit of similar quality. Here in Sebring I have a Hasya and 2 very little Butterscotch. The Hasya was already producing until Ian took care of that, knocked all the fruit off. From my experience, they have a cold resistance similar to Mangos. Juvenile Sapodillas can take some frost but not too much. Not sure what mature Sapodillas can take, non in my neighborhood.
