Is there a list of the ripening order of mangoes or at least lists of early, mid and late?  I didn't see one in the FAQ or a search on-line.

Received scions from Sergio.  He is delight to work with and sends high quality wrapped scions.  I cannot over recommend him.  Thank you Sergio!

Hello

I am looking for the following mango seeds: Coconut Cream, Honey Kiss, Pina Colada and Sweet Tart. Most trees grown will be donated to the retreeing of Lahaina efforts.

Mahalo,
Carole

I second the Upcountry Saturday Market.  Get there early as it it's only 7 - 11 am.  Have a great visit.

You can check with Hawaii Seed Growers and see if they can send out of state.

That's exciting news.  I have wondered about the lack of mainland mango varieties after watching the many youtube videos based in Florida.  I don't have any nursery mango trees as they tend to be pretty expensive here and I want to graft my own anyway so I have about a dozen seedlings started.  I hope you keep us apprised of your progress and consider selling scionwood or trade for citrus.  Best of luck to you and Mahalo for this project.

Thanks for your thoughtful response, Caladri.  I hope to go to the next Okinawan festival.  I will look harder on the island here for leads.  One guy here claims to have a tree for sale for an exorbitant price and refused to sell fruit or seeds.

I see you're on Salt Spring, land of the rightfully famous Apple Festival.  I actually got to visit about ten years ago when living in the PNW.

I live on Maui so needs to be in state.  Either seeds or a small tree is good.  Thanks!

When you mention a visit to Hawaii are you referring to the Big Island or the state in general?  From what I can gather, the Island of Hawaii seems to have the most active fruit growing of the four.  If that is mostly your reason to visit
I would recommend the big island.  Hawaii Tropical Fruit Growers:  http://www.htfg.org  is located there with branches on the other islands.  I live on Maui and could make recommendations for here if you wish as there are a few tours one can take.

Aloha from West Maui,

Moved here recently from Western WA where I tended a temporate orchard.  I'm on a smaller lot now which has three citrus: 1 lemon, 1 lime and a third unknown.  I am not sure of the varieties. My first additions will hopefully be a pomegranate and a Cara Cara orange.  I used to graft so hoping to add on varieties as I am able to find.  I will plant some mango and papaya seeds and hope for the best and will try to graft the mango over.  Are there any members from Maui?

A big Mahalo to all those who are involved in making this the excellent site it is!
