Are these seeds germinated in coco coir?
-
mine were great too, thanks!

Received my seeds in fabulous condition as well- very happy to have this rambutan and pulasan!
-
Thank you all for the feedback.
Yes, I germinated those seeds in moist coconut fiber.
-
Definitely noticed that coco coir when I was potting them tonight, I’ve tried in the past to germinate rambutan seeds from the store, but no success maybe cause they are refrigerated or irradiated but having them sent germinated was really nice 👍

Yeah, I've bought so many rambutan fruit in my life and have been unsuccessful at germinating them. It was awesome to get them fresh and germinated already.

This will be my personal PSA on this forum until it is more widely adopted-
sow seeds in 100% vermiculite, I dont know why, but it is magic

to germinate the red ones from the supermarket what i did was
1-remove all pulp. even with a knife if i had to.
2-germinated them in a paper towel inside a slightly open bag indoors.
3-all that i tried to germinate in soil or with pulp did rot very fast.
4-i water them with drinking water+few drops of honey
5-transfer to separate vases
6-transfer to 1 or 2 gallon pots after a few leaves or they will dry up very fast.
7-tropical climate helps. these are ultra tropical.
