Dragon fruit worms

What are these worm coming out of my dragon fruit plant?  One of my seed gown yellow dragonfruit cacti has these.

They only point away from the sun/window/.

Timbogrow  Thanks.  That is what I thought they were but I was expecting something very different lookin for a cactus.  I was aware they weren't worms.  Still unexpected and strange looking.

Yea a wood or metal post for it to climb up would work good.  Someone sells a post top online if you search it. The pic shows a pretty standard design. Think I went with 5'6" from the ground to top of post. I used aluminum 2.5"x2.5"x.125" wall since I'm a welder. Super lightweight and extremely strong. I needed some shade on mine so I screwed some Sable palms around the sides. I could see the concrete breaking if you start hammer drilling and screwing tapcons into it and attaching things.

Tim  That looks nice.  I never thought about training mine to 1 or 2 stems.  Does that help with earlier fruiting by developing height first.

Thanks! Most all are single stem until the top. Once it's about 6" over the top you can prune it so it shoots multiple branches out and starts cascading downward. The cascading is what is said to cause flowering. Those flowers are from this summer, there really starting to take off now. Got 1 fruit to set but Ian dumped so much rain the fruit rotted from the tips. I'm just a welder with a hobby lol. Trying hard though.

Tim  I will give a multi trunk a try.  I am in zone 6 so they will be inside 6 months of the year.  They will need to be short and flat top to do well under lights.

Supposedly they can just droop over the edge of the pot if you have it elevated. Zone 6 brrrrrrrr their gonna need a parka for sure. Would be cool if you got it to fruit, you could call it "big worm" variety lol.
