I would be interested in chempejack but know nothing about this variety, only info I could find is that it's a Malaysian province  :D
Could you please describe the fruit, taste, size, latex content? How it compares with other chempejacks. Would love to grow more jacks of all kinds! 😇

Thank you for searching, but the link is rejected for some reason, also it says chempedak in the link, so this variety is cempedak or chempejack?

In this thread, it says the Sri gading is a Chempejak.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, it is so true. Thanks for the photo Lance.

Unfortunately most scientific/agriculture publications show mostly black and white photos with long wordy jargons, abeit sometimes confusing description.

Your photo shows us, in clear detail, the potential of that chempejack variety. It looks to be a promising variety that many food forest aficionados may consider trying out. Thanks again!

Teach a man to fish, and he will be able to catch fish for life.

Teach a man to nurture plants, and he will be able to eat durian, soursop, mangosteen, papaya, rambutan, and guava fruits for life!

I have this variety, it's definitely cempedak, not cempejak. Goes into full paralysis at the slightest cold and more hairs on top of leaves than something with jak genetics

Here is a pic of my grafted Sri gudang on jack roostock, no hairs on leaves. Is yours a seedling or grafted? Bought it from Frankie's nursery and was told it's a jackfruit cempedak hybrid. Iv tasted a few different varieties of cempedak and Sri gudang has a balanced flavor of jackfruit and cempedak very good flavor. Hope this helps

Hi Docky, by any chance, have you ever tasted Cheena? I am debating whether to get Cheena or Sri Gading. I love cempedak but it is impossible to grow here without a heated GH. I hope a cempejack could survive here.

Agreed.   The leaves aren’t hairy.  The chemp genes pop up in the fruit type/quality.  The one we dropped into the ground has non hairy leaves
