Fruit party?
« on: June 22, 2022, 10:53:44 AM »
Anyone in san diego area want to do one of these again?  Ive been extremely busy with house projects and homeschooled 1 kid through 1st grade this year.  Things are finally almost settling down and I have time to relax a bit if you guys want to have a get together we can make that happen.  Maybe early August?  Let me know if these enough interest.

I’m game. Previous events have been a great opportunity to try new stuff and meet local growers.  Good times!

I may be coming down to SD for other reasons in the near future, but maybe will line up. I'm thinking of arranging one of these for Central Coast at some point too.

LOL, even after another 11 years, you'll still be busy! :)   As a parent I now kind of know what my parents had to deal with, kids never grow up and house projects are forever!

One of these days, too bad I didn't find this forum before COVID when I was travelling down to San Diego monthly for work!

I’ll definitely try to make it, work permitting.  I work 6 days a week now, sometimes 7 days so I probably won’t be able to bring the juice because i usually prep everything the day before but I have no free time anymore. I should have some figs, Dragonfruit and maybe some other random stuff. I made the best tasting Jaboticaba jam using Chris’s (Truly Tropical) recipe and it’s amazing. I would like to see what others think about it!

Saturday works best for me so July 30 or August 13. Leos remembrance is on August 6 so I also wouldn’t have been able to make it on that day.

Yeah, I need to take a break. Seeing some friends, eating fruit and talking about trees is the best way for me to unwind.

You guys still up for this?  I dont have much fruit this time.  Ive got some reed avocados, maybe a few peaches left and some dragonfruits.  Its hard to time it for when the fruit is ready to cut.
