La Habra Sun and La Habra Blanc
« on: March 16, 2022, 05:35:08 PM »
Hi,

I have read very good reviews on these atemoyas on the forum, and I was wondering.  Were these atemoya varieties developed in La Habra, California?  Is this why they are called "La Habra"?

I am just curious...

Thanks...

More importantly, is anyone in Florida growing La Habra Sun and La Habra Blanc?  Please step forward.  :)  (How about KJ Pinks/Paxton Prolific?)

This is my second one from the tree this year.
Taste like a sweeter na dai sugar apple with a little subacid kick.
I think it's a atemoya back crossed with a sugar apple. Not much seeds and lots of natural pollination.

This one is a keeper and does well in soflo

Did you hand pollinate?

I went out one time this year to hand pollinate.
This fruit was already on the tree though.
Pollinating during mango season is not fun. lol
