1 gallon mango pruning question

I am unsure how I should proceed with pruning this young mango tree. Next week I was planning to remove the flower buds so they don’t start growing out again by pruning too early. If I remove the flowers will my mango still grow upright or will it start to branch out?  I have a couple of 1 gallon mangos growing well from Lara farms so I wanted to be sure. Thank you.

Let it be.  The panicle may drop off by itself or set a couple of fruits.  Knock them off when they are marble size and knock the panicle off after it dries up. It will likely branch from that point.
If you want your tree taller before it branches.  Keep the most vigorous of the branches and stake it up.
