Pakistani mulberry leaves - should I be worried?
« on: December 03, 2022, 11:59:14 AM »
My black Pakistani mulberry leaves turned brown and feel very dry to the touch.
It’s is probably 2-3 years old and this is the first year I’m having it, so don’t have a history with it.
This one is the only one in such bad shape, my other mulberries have some leaves like that but not too many. I have another younger Pakistani next to it and that one still has huge green leaves.
Is this a seasonal thing or should I look into spraying with Plant Doctor or something similar?
Thank you!
I’m in zone 10b in Florida

I wont be worried.
I have some mulberry that drop leaves around this time of the year while some others are starting new leaves and throwing the occasional fruit.  My Pakistani white in a pot has leaves green as can be but one on an inground grafted plant has dropped many leaves.

Don't overwater it while it is dormant, especially if all the leaves have dropped.  It barely needs water at that time.

Mulberries always look like crap this time of year. Shorter days messes with them, but they are actually okay and bounce back when the days get longer.

Maybe I should prune all the leaves 😅

Its Fall, unless you are in south Florida they will lose their leaves and come back in Spring. It just doesnt do the pretty fall colors like most Northern trees that do this since our Fall doesnt seem very well defined.
