Are my Loquats ripe?
« on: November 05, 2023, 11:51:29 AM »
So Iíve got my first bunch of loquats which are in the process of ripening. Iíve never seen or eaten a loquat fruit before. These fruits are starting to get soft, but they donít seem orange enough and there is still a touch of green. Do I leave them on for longer? Thanks Iím advance for your knowledge.

I've never seen loquats ripened indoors before, so they may look (or taste) different from ones ripened outside in full sun. I've had many from the trees in Seattle (ripen in early summer) and many seedling trees in Florida, and I've never had any that were ripe when still green. But maybe indoors they don't always color up?
